Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Data Ingestion Specialist for one of our contracts and offers exciting opportunities to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. Our mission supports the Government Corporate Management Services (CMS) by providing full life cycle support services through the sustainment, modernization, and transformation of the enterprise corporate applications. These applications are used across the government enterprise and are critical to the daily functions of thousands of users across acquisition, business, finance, HR, training, recruitment, program management, security, logistics and more.   • The selected candidate will work on a team providing support and development for Electronic Records Management Services (RMS). The application provides a modern, secure, leading-edge capability compliant with external regulatory guidance including electronic maintenance, storage, search, audit, reporting, retrieval, lockdown, and disposition of records, considered both permanent and temporary 
  • Organize and prepare data files for ingestion, ensuring they are correctly formatted and accessible to the ingestion scripts or applications
  • Run data ingestion scripts or applications to process incoming datasets, ensuring data is loaded accurately and efficiently into the designated systems
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during the ingestion process, such as scripts getting hung up or encountering errors. This involves investigating log files to pinpoint the root causes
  • Manage high-priority datasets that require urgent processing, ensuring that they are given the necessary attention and ingested promptly
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on data ingestion processes, script usage, troubleshooting steps, and any changes made to the workflows. This also includes updating training documentation 
  • Work closely with senior members of the team, developers, and other ingesters to ensure smooth data ingestion operations and resolve complex issues collaboratively
  • Participate in internal meetings to discuss project progress, share updates, and collaborate on process improvements. Additionally, attending meetings with mission partners to understand their data requirements and address any concerns they may have
  • Proactively seek ways to enhance data ingestion efficiency, reliability, and accuracy through process optimization, automation, or adopting new tools and technologies

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly
  • A bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering and two (2) years of experience supporting the specific COTs technology product (e.g., Windows, Java, SQL and/or SQL Server, etc.). Seven (7) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Experience identifying and analyzing impending problems with a COTS technology 
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues with a COTS technology 
  • Experience creating, updating, or maintaining technical documentation.  

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows System Administration 
  • Experience with Microsoft office 
  • Experience with Windows Explorer 
  • Experience with SQL and/or SQL Server 
  • Experience with scripting languages 
  • Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and/or Confluence 
  • Familiarity with agile processes  
  • Experience using web apps 
  • Experience using a records management technology
