Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a System Administrator to join our established DevOps team. The selected System Administrator will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of multiple servers in both unclassified and classified environments. This position requires knowledge and experience dealing with the implementation and issue resolution of Microsoft Windows Server technologies and services. The candidate will be responsible for implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability, security, and performance. Additional experience working within a hybrid LINUX/Windows environment is preferred, but not required. Desired candidate should have knowledge of industry standard tech tools and a strong computer science background.
Responsibilities:
- System analysis of the current system in use and developing plans for enhancements and improvements.
- Production support for mission critical systems and applications
- Troubleshooting and resolving errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Managing, evaluating, and installing patches on Windows and Linux systems
- Performing cloud deployment and management
- CI/CD management and deployment
- Performance assessment, monitoring and recommending performance enhancements
- Infrastructure management for multiple disconnected networks
- Continuous testing at various stages of the development cycle
- Writing and maintaining documentation
- Helping to implement a DevOps culture
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Poly
- (5) years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Current understanding of best practices and application of system security measures
- Experience with Windows servers (patching, troubleshooting, security)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational problems independently
- Experience with renewing and replacing PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) certificates
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Linux server security and administration
- Experience with administration, developing and deploying Docker
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts
- Knowledge of PowerShell
