Senior Systems Engineer (Hybrid)

We are seeking a system engineer for one of our PRIME CONTRACTS that extends through 2026 and offers exciting opportunities to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. This position offers a hybrid work schedule! Our mission supports the Government Corporate Management Services (CMS) by providing full life cycle support services through the sustainment, modernization, and transformation of the enterprise corporate applications. As soon as an employee enters a customer facility, they touch one of these applications which are critical to the daily functions of thousands of users across acquisition, business, finance, HR, training, recruitment, program management, security, logistics and more. The system engineer will support an effort to provide software that increases the efficiency and effectiveness of the Business Management and Acquisition (BM&A) workforce by automating current processes within and across existing systems.

  • Collaborate closely with a team of developers to gather requirements from various stakeholders, which includes understanding the current manual processes, pain points and desired outcomes of automation
  • Engage with subject matter experts (SMEs) within the organization who execute these processes to gain insights into the intricacies and nuances of the workflows
  • Conduct interviews with SMEs to delve deep into the existing manual processes to accurately evaluate which processes are suitable for automation considering factors like complexity, feasibility, and potential challenges of automation
  • Collaborate with the customer and team to prioritize processes that are most suitable and beneficial for automation
  • Act as a liaison between the SMEs, the development team doing the automation work, and Government leadership
  • Work with the technical team and Government leadership to prepare schedule inputs, communicate dependencies, impediments, and risks and communicate with Freedom Program Management team
  • Serve as a bridge between the technical development team and the stakeholders. Translate technical concepts into understandable terms ensuring the automation solutions meet the business requirement and objective

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • A bachelor’s degree and fourteen (14) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Nineteen (19) years’ experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • This individual must be willing to tackle challenges and be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced, highly visible team environment
  • Experience developing and updating technical documentation
  • Experience working with stakeholders to gather requirements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading an agile development team
  • Scrum Master certification
  • Experience with Python
