Sr. System Engineer

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Senior System Engineer. Our mission supports the Government Corporate Management Services (CMS) by providing full life cycle support services through the sustainment, modernization, and transformation of the enterprise corporate applications. • The candidate must be a strong systems engineer that has experience working on a software development team with diverse skillsets
• This individual must be willing to tackle challenges sometimes without a lot of guidance or information, and collaborating in a fast-paced, highly visible team environment
• Primary responsibilities will be working with the Lead Developer, Government leadership and the development team to establish priorities, facilitating agile processes, communicating with team members, the Government and end user customers
• The individual will need to work with the technical team and Government leadership to prepare schedule inputs, communicate dependencies, impediments, and risks and communicate with Freedom Program Management team

Required Qualifications:

• TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
• A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and twenty (20) years' experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Twenty (25) years’ SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Willingness to learn and develop strong understanding new technologies and products
• Experience developing and updating technical documentation including project schedules
• Experience with requirements management to include working with customers to capture clear definition of done.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience executing test procedures
• Experience managing systems in virtual environments such as AWS
• Experience with Atlassian Suite products including Confluence & Managing Jira
• Experience providing system administration support in Windows and Linux environments
