Hidden Figures

You may have seen the 2017 hit movie, Hidden Figures, (or at least heard of it – the film was nominated for three Oscars, two Golden Globes, and dozens of other awards) but if you haven’t read the book the movie was based off of, drop what you’re doing and pick up the copy. A true story, “Hidden Figures” recounts the lives of a team of female African-Americans in the 1930s-1960s who played a critical role at NASA during the Space Race, all while facing and overcoming the discrimination of that time period.
