Looking for a Change? Tips From Our Staffing Guru Diane H.

Diane H FCG Staffing Manager

We wanted to get an insider perspective on how employees are matched with positions here at FCG, so we tracked down our number one source on what positions and jobs are available here at the company and talked with Diane H., FCG’s Staffing Coordinator.

Diane was able to give us the low-down on what she does here at FCG and how she can help our employees looking for a change. Keep reading to see what our in-house staffing guru says about finding new opportunities within FCG:

What does a staffing expert do?

Diane: The biggest thing that a staffing expert does best is to match employees with new positions on contracts that are a good fit for the employee and the position that is open. In our case, I match our employees with the openings we have available to us from our prime contracts and other contracts from companies we are partnered with. This includes working with our managers to find out where they need more support on their specific programs, as well as working with companies. I also template our resumes for submission for these positions so that they are correctly formatted depending on the needs of the contract they are being submitted to.

How does that relate to our employees?

Diane: My position helps streamline our employees being approved and accepted to new positions available by providing a contact for our contracts to let us know what positions need to be filled. I also make sure that our employees’ resumes are in the correct formatting to be approved as quickly as possible, and I work with companies to ensure that FCG is aware of new openings and opportunities available for its employees.

Does this only apply to new employees? Can a person already working with the company be able to change positions?

Diane: Yes, finding new and different opportunities is available to all employees, not just new ones! I think it’s important for our employees to be aware that they are open to changing positions on contracts within FCG.

FCG not only has a number of prime contracts available but partners as a subcontractor to many other teams that have multiple positions open. Transitioning to a new position is not always immediate but we are here to work with any employee who is interested in exploring and finding a new opportunity.

What would you recommend to a current employee who is interested in other opportunities within FCG?

Diane: I recommend that if you are interested in what other opportunities are available, talk with your manager about what you are looking for and your interest in making a change. Our managers work closely together with me and the corporate team to match our employees with the best fit.

That’s why I am here, to help people find what works for them. My door is always open if someone needs help or has a question.

On a side note, are you as excited about the upcoming FCG Holiday Party as we are?

Diane: Yes, I’m very excited about the upcoming FCG Holiday Party.  I’ve heard so many fun stories from last years’ party, so I’m looking forward to a great time this year!
