FCG set course into December 2019 with many of our team members attending the AWS Re:Invent conference hosted by Amazon in Las Vegas, NV. This event is one of the highlights of the year for the programming community, had over 60,000 attendees and includes multiple event locations up and down the Las Vegas Strip.
The hot topic this year was artificial intelligence (AI), which lent itself to a large offering of different courses and workshops for attendees at AWS Re:Invent. One example was the popular workshop AWS DeepRacer, where developers accepted the challenge of programming a car covered with cameras to use AI to learn how to stay on the road through machine learning.
Our team attended many of the workshops offered such as the AWS DeepRacer and talks about other topics. There were also different individual expos hosted throughout the conference where developers could pick up swag and network with other companies in the tech field about their current projects and the future.
