System Engineer

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Systems Engineer for one of our contracts that offers exciting opportunities to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. Our mission supports the Government Corporate Management Services (CMS) by providing full life cycle support services through the sustainment, modernization, and transformation of the enterprise corporate applications. These applications are used across the government enterprise and are critical to the daily functions of thousands of users across acquisition, business, finance, HR, training, recruitment, program management, security, logistics and more.   • In this position, you will join an existing team providing system engineering support to Security Sustainment applications. The applications supported are front-end technologies, i.e., JavaScript (AngularJS, Vue.js, Node.js). The role requires a self-motivated individual that is comfortable working in a team environment. This position will require working in a fast-paced team and a willingness to take on challenges to upgrade or modify sustainment systems. This individual must be willing to tackle challenges sometimes without a lot of guidance or information, and collaborating in a fast-paced, highly visible team environment.  

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly
  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and seven (7) years' experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Twelve (12) years’ SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
  • Willingness to learn and develop strong understanding new technologies and products
  • Experience developing and updating technical documentation including system architecture diagram
  • Experience working with end-user customers

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience executing test procedures
  • Experience with Atlassian Suite products including Confluence & Managing Jira
  • Experience with 508 Compliance
  • Experience with process design and implementation
