DTS Application Developer
Annapolis Junction, MD
Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a DTS Application Developer. The day-to-day tasking for this position includes developing product enhancements to improve product performance and better integrate with downstream systems, troubleshooting and debugging issues that arise with the production system, tracing issues and application code, resolving communication issues that happen between microservices that use Kafka with event-based processing. Troubleshoot error messages. Potential for call in support.
On-call support is required for 1 week, every 6-8 weeks. 4 hours of inconvenience pay will be provided for any weeks on call.
Required Qualifications:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university plus 6 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience. An Associate’s degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 10 years of experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. A relevant certification may count as one year of experience.
- Java / Spring boot Development
- MongoDB experience
- Debugging and troubleshooting experience for production services
- Experience with event-based services
- Apache NiFi experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Python
- AWS Service (i.e. Lambda’s, Step functions, S3, etc.)
- Apache Spark or Apache MapReduce
- Redis experience
- Kafka experience
The estimated salary range for this position is between $160,000.00 and $200,000.00 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors, such as location, the individual’s education, skills, experience, and competencies, as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
