Linux System Administrator

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Linux System Administrator for one of our PRIME CONTRACTS that offers exciting opportunities to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. Our mission supports the Government Corporate Management Services (CMS) by providing full life cycle support services through the sustainment, modernization, and transformation of the enterprise corporate applications. These applications are used across the government enterprise and are critical to the daily functions of thousands of users across acquisition, business, finance, HR, training, recruitment, program management, security, logistics and more.   • Work on a fast-paced team of system administrators providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems for critical enterprise applications.
  • Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client, server, storage, network devices, Etc.
  • Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • A bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of experience as a system administrator on programs of similar scope and complexity is required. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree fifteen (15) years of experience required.
  • In depth Linux experience.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell and Bash scripting languages.
  • Experience with system hardening.
  • Experience working with ISSOs for system compliance.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I is required.
