System Administrator

We are seeking a system administrator for one of our PRIME CONTRACTS that extends through 2026 and offers exciting opportunities to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. The selected candidate will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems that support Space and Property Management, Asset Management, Transportation Management, Project Support and Geospatial Analysis applications within CMS. This role primarily consists of system administration support for predominately Linux servers, and some Microsoft Windows to include monitoring, problem resolution and ensuring compliancy. A background or experience with system administration will be required and the individual will also support a mix of COTs and GOTs applications in an administrative and customer support role. Collaborate with security for any compliancy issues and remediate any active liens. Contribute to the development of any technical documentation including SOPs and update existing documentation. Collaborate with the team for releases or migrations to new environments. Troubleshoot and maintain integrity to improve reliability and performance of systems.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of demonstrable experience is required. Four (4) years of additional technical experience on projects with similar hardware/software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TTOs, may substitute as one (1) year experience. A Master's Degree in a technical field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.
- Experience with Linux and Windows Servers.
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with system hardening
- Experience working with ISSOs for system compliance
- Experience creating and updating technical documentation
