Cloud Software Engineer

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing and debugging applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions. Designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensure software standards are met.
- Knowledgeable on the core AWS services related to permissions and networking and how they interact
- Capable of talking through technical details with both technical and non-technical customers in a way that each can understand
- A proven track record of working well in diverse team environments where communication is frequent
- Able to think between the lines. For example, if a customer is asking for a new permission, instead of just granting it once approved, the person checks if the customer has an outdated permission set. The customer should instead receive the updated set permissions if the customer's is outdated and then add in any remaining approved deviations
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering disciplines and 5 years of related experience (May substitute additional 3 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree or 3 years functional experience with a non-technical degree)
- Experience in full lifecycle development of embedded software for DOD technical development efforts
- Experience with Agile workflows, AWS CloudFormation, JIRA (At least Familiar), and Git (At least Familiar)
